1) It may take a lot of time:- One needs to know that knowing self is not a one minute thing. It is there to stay for the whole life and to know one self it takes a long time.
2) Spend time with yourself:- At the beginning of the stage one needs to spend time with self and review honestly what is going on in one's life.
3) Get acquainted with all your feelings:- Getting acquainted with one's feelings is a very crucial step. Even if and especially if the feelings are unpleasant, one needs to face them, see them and figure out what to do with them so that one is totally comfortable with them. 3) Be wholeheartedly true to challenges, desires and happiness felt by self and deal with them according to the honest reasoning given:- While spending time with self one will definitely feel and notice a lot of things. 5) Don't shy away from personal challenges:- In order to know the weakness and strength of one one need to face up to personal challenges especially ones that concern the self. One never should give them time or shy away from them. This is very crucial.
6) Know likes, dislikes, strengths and weaknesses:- Having spent a lot of time with self, facing personal challenges and getting acquainted with personal feelings one is for sure to know what one likes, dislikes, strengths and weaknesses.
